Wyndham Clark Wins CJ Cup Byron Nelson With 11-Under 60
Wyndham Clark won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson at TPC Craig Ranch on Sunday, his first PGA Tour victory since February 2024. He finished at 30-under par and beat Si Woo Kim by three shots.
Clark shot an 11-under 60 in the final round. He nearly holed his approach on the 72nd hole for an eagle and a round of 59. A made putt would have made him the 16th player in PGA Tour history to post a sub-60 round.
Kim entered the final round with a two-shot lead over Clark and Scottie Scheffler. Kim shot a six-under 65 but could not match Clark's score. The tournament was one Clark won outright.
The win marked a turnaround for Clark, who missed the cut at the PGA Championship earlier this month. He had not won since the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and had not won a 72-hole event since the 2023 U.S. Open.
Clark earned his first PGA Tour win at the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship one month before capturing the U.S. Open. In February 2024 he won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am after shooting a course-record 60 in the third round. Rain canceled the final round, shortening the event to 54 holes.
Clark finished tied for second at the 2024 PLAYERS Championship. Between 2023 and 2024 the then-29-year-old won three PGA Tour titles in less than a year, including a major, and nearly won a fourth. He also made the 2023 U.S. Ryder Cup team.
Expectations rose after that stretch. Clark, now 32, posted just two top-10 finishes in 24 starts in 2025 and missed the cut at the 2025 U.S. Open. He drew attention after damaging a locker at Oakmont Country Club following that missed cut.
In his post-round interview with CBS reporter Amanda Balionis, Clark addressed his recent struggles. The win comes after he was left off the 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup team. He has missed the cut in five of his past 10 major starts, though he posted a top-five finish at the 2025 Open Championship. That T4 is his only top-10 in a major since the 2023 U.S. Open.
Clark's next chance at a major comes at the 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, which begins June 18.
