Trump Endorses Feenstra, Hilton and Others Ahead of Tuesday Primaries
President Trump issued endorsements ahead of Tuesday’s primaries in California, Iowa, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico and South Dakota.
In Iowa, Trump backed U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra for governor. “As your next Governor, Randy will fight tirelessly to Grow the Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE, Champion our Amazing Farmers and Ranchers, Empower Ethanol, Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Ensure LAW AND ORDER, Strengthen our incredible Military, Veterans, and Law Enforcement, Advance Election Integrity, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
In California, Trump endorsed Steve Hilton for governor. “He is a truly fine man, one who has watched as this once great State has gone to Hell,” Trump said of Hilton. “Gavin Newscum and the Democrats have done an absolutely horrendous job. Crime is increasing, and Taxes are the highest of any State in the Country, maybe the World. Steve can turn it around, before it is too late, and, as President, I will help him to do so!”
Trump also endorsed California state Assemblyman James Gallagher and San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond for Congress, along with Reps. Tom McClintock, Jay Obernolte and Vince Fong. He backed Kevin Lincoln, a former Stockton mayor, for the newly redrawn 13th Congressional District.
In other states, Trump endorsed Rep. Ashley Hinson of Iowa for the U.S. Senate, Rep. Troy Downing of Montana for Congress, and Aaron Flint for a House seat in Montana. He also endorsed South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley and former New Mexico police officer Greg Cunningham. Rep. Brian Mast of Florida received an endorsement as well.
Trump had previously endorsed Sen. Mike Rounds of South Dakota.
