WWE's Chelsea Green Undergoes Heart Procedure for SVT After 10 Years
WWE wrestler Chelsea Green announced Monday that she underwent a heart procedure for supraventricular tachycardia, or SVT, sharing photos from her hospital bed with husband Matt Cardona.
Green said doctors finally diagnosed the condition after 10 years. SVT is a type of irregular heartbeat, also called an arrhythmia, that causes a very fast or erratic heartbeat in the heart's upper chambers, according to the Mayo Clinic.
The two-time WWE women's United States champion wrote on Instagram: "After 10 years, doctors finally caught my SVT and I was able to get a heart procedure done! 3 hours later and I’m on the mend."
On Tuesday, she posted on X: "My latest episode during WrestleMania pushed my resting heart rate to 228 for almost 15 minutes. Yesterday, Dr. Girgis spent 3 hours working on me… and I had to be awake for the last hour of the procedure!!"
Green described the procedure as minimally invasive and said she expects to return to work soon.
She has faced recent setbacks. An ankle injury sidelined her for several months, keeping her out of WrestleMania 42. In February, Green and Ethan Page lost the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship to Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice.
