Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler revealed in her new memoir that her former manager and husband, A.J. DiScala, secretly stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from her accounts.

In "And So It Is...", Sigler described how a forensic accountant uncovered the theft during their divorce. She and DiScala met when he became her manager as she started on The Sopranos. Their professional ties turned romantic, and they married in 2003. The three-year marriage ended in a contentious split.

The accountant told Sigler to sit down before explaining, "There are hundreds of thousands of dollars missing." Her Sopranos earnings had moved from her corporate account to their joint account for expenses, but portions then went to an account she did not control or know about.

Sigler decided against pursuing the money. "This was important money," she wrote. Her accountant pushed to go after it, but her lawyer warned of court battles, months of stress and legal fees, with no guaranteed recovery.

She recalled telling her lawyer, "I’m twenty-four years old. There is no amount of money worth more than getting this man out of my life. I’ll make it back in some form one day. I need to move on."

"To this day, I don’t know what happened with the money. But I don’t care anymore. That money is a chapter I want closed forever," Sigler added.

Years later, she landed a Sopranos-themed Super Bowl commercial. The contract fee matched "the exact amount of money that I chose not to pursue in the divorce."

Sigler wrote that early in her career, she felt overwhelmed and saw DiScala as a solution. "I was in way over my head, and AJ seemed like the answer to all my problems. I realize now that he had no real connections, no music industry expertise, and no real knowledge," she said. "But at the time, I needed him, so I believed him. And so did my family."

Sigler later married former baseball player Cutter Dykstra. They started dating in 2012, wed in 2016 and have two sons. They keep a low profile.

In 2021, DiScala received an 11 1/2-year prison sentence after a 2018 conviction on two counts of securities and wire fraud conspiracy, two counts of securities fraud, and four counts of wire fraud. He had to forfeit $2,484,873, according to a U.S. Attorney’s Office press release.

DiScala artificially inflated unstable stock shares, sold them to investors, then watched prices crash, Page Six reported. The case had no connection to Sigler.
