Anna Wintour, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos Host Star-Studded Pre-Met Gala Parties

Anna Wintour, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos hosted pre-Met Gala parties that drew top Hollywood stars ahead of Monday's main event.

The Bezos couple started the weekend Saturday night with a party at their NoMad apartment in New York City. Brooks Nader, Lisa Rinna of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Nicole Kidman and Kendall Jenner arrived for the event.

Nader wore a sheer black lace gown. The Baywatch star let her blonde hair fall loose and kept accessories to a minimum. Rinna chose a black and red gown with red feather sleeves attached to a mesh top. Jenner opted for a simple mid-length black dress with small black bow details.

Kidman dressed for a business meeting in black slacks, a white button-up shirt and an undone black bowtie around her neck. She added a black blazer and carried a small black clutch.

On Sunday, Sánchez Bezos, Sabrina Carpenter and Serena Williams attended Wintour's pre-Met Gala party in New York City. Carpenter wore an off-the-shoulder black lace mid-length dress. Williams appeared in a long-sleeve floor-length red sequin gown.

Donatella Versace wore a one-shoulder nude dress with rhinestone details. Pharrell Williams arrived in a nude suit and carried a Louis Vuitton purse. He topped a green collared shirt and brown sweater with a nude baseball hat.

Sánchez Bezos, 56, joined her husband in a more modest two-piece red silk set than her usual style. The outfit included a vest-style top with a low neckline and a matching floor-length skirt. Bezos wore a simple gray suit.

On Monday, Sánchez Bezos attended the 2026 Met Gala press conference on Costume Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She wore a form-fitting gray dress and sat next to Wintour. She also spoke from the stage before the evening's gala.

The Daily Mail reported backlash against the annual fashion event after staff found bottles of urine inside the museum. Water bottles placed outside urged passersby to urinate in them, with a sign reading: "The Met Gala VIP toilet. Installed in honor of Met Gala chair Jeff Bezos. Go ahead, it's good enough for his staff."
