Andy Richter Named First Commander in Beef for Indy 500 Wienie 500
Comedian Andy Richter will serve as the first Commander in Beef for the Wienie 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The event features a group of Oscar Mayer Wienermobiles racing around the track before the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500.
Richter, known for his work as Conan O’Brien’s sidekick on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien and Conan, now hosts the podcast The Three Questions.
He said in a statement that he remembers the inaugural Wienie 500 last year and is glad to take part in its return.
The Wienermobiles drew attention last year as they raced at the Brickyard, and the event returns this year ahead of the main race.
