Knicks' Jeremy Sochan set to earn NBA title ring either way

New York Knicks forward Jeremy Sochan understands that better than anyone else in basketball right now.
The 23-year-old forward provides energy off the bench for the Knicks. His good fortune goes beyond helping New York reach the NBA Finals.
Sochan began the season with the San Antonio Spurs, the team that drafted him in the first round in 2022. Because he played for both clubs during the 2025-26 season, he secured one of the league's most unusual safety nets.
If New York wins the title, Sochan will celebrate with his current teammates and a city that has not won a championship in 53 years. If San Antonio wins, league custom indicates the Spurs would still award him a ring for his earlier contributions.
Sochan wants New York to win it all.
