A.J. Brown wedding draws no Eagles teammates except former player Darius Slay

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown married this past weekend at Montage Laguna Beach in California. No current Eagles players attended, according to TMZ.

It is not known whether quarterback Jalen Hurts received an invitation or sent a gift. Former Eagles cornerback Darius Slay was present.

The absence of Hurts and other current teammates adds to ongoing speculation about Brown’s future with the team. Rumors have circulated all offseason that Brown could be traded before the 2026 season begins.

Some reports have linked the New England Patriots to Brown. The Patriots lost to the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX this past season.

Brown has expressed frustration with his role in Philadelphia, particularly under former offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo, who was fired before the 2026 season. During the year, Brown called the Eagles a “s--- show” on a Twitch stream and made jokes about his usage while playing Madden.

The Eagles reached the playoffs but lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card Round at Lincoln Financial Field.

Hurts is the godfather of Brown’s daughter, Jersee, and the two have been friends since before they joined the Eagles.

Brown’s production rose sharply after he was traded to Philadelphia before the 2022 season. He recorded 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns that year, followed by 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023.

The Eagles won the Super Bowl in 2024 after adding running back Saquon Barkley, who was named Offensive Player of the Year. Brown’s numbers fell to 1,079 yards that season.

Last year, Brown finished with 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns on 78 catches.
