SPFL confirms Celtic's title win over Hearts went full time
The SPFL has confirmed that Celtic's title-clinching 3-1 win over Hearts on Saturday ran its full course and was not cut short.
The league also condemned the pitch invasion that followed the final action of a chaotic afternoon at Celtic Park.
Fans poured onto the field after Callum Osmand ran clear to score on 98 minutes. Eight minutes of stoppage time had been added at the end of the regulation 90.
Hearts began the day one point ahead and took the lead through a Lawrence Shankland header. Celtic equalized with an Arne Engels penalty on the stroke of half-time, and Daizen Maeda put the defending champions in front on 87 minutes.
Hearts, who were chasing a first title since 1960, left the stadium early, citing a menacing and threatening atmosphere.
