Sparks' Cameron Brink blocks Caitlin Clark's layup, yells explicit phrase in WNBA clash

Los Angeles Sparks forward Cameron Brink blocked a layup attempt by Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark and let out an explicit outburst during their game Wednesday night.

Clark drove to the basket when the 6-foot-4 Brink swatted the ball away. "Get that f---ing s--- outta here," Brink yelled.

The sequence happened early, with Indiana leading by two points. The Fever pulled away for an 87-78 win.

Brink came off the bench for 19 minutes and posted 11 points, five rebounds and three blocks in the loss.

Clark finished with 24 points on 9-of-17 shooting and nine assists. She drew a technical foul at halftime for arguing with a referee on her way to the locker room.

Kelsey Mitchell added 23 points for Indiana. Sophie Cunningham contributed 12 points and seven rebounds. Those three were the Fever's only players in double figures.

Kelsey Plum topped the Sparks with 25 points and four assists. Dearica Hamby had 16 points and eight rebounds. Nneka Ogwumike and Rae Burrell scored 10 points apiece.

The victory gave Indiana its first win of the season. Los Angeles still searches for its initial triumph.
