Phil Foden Agrees to Four-Year Manchester City Contract Extension

Phil Foden has reached an agreement in principle on a new four-year contract with Manchester City.
The 25-year-old's current deal was set to expire next summer. The fresh terms will keep him at Etihad Stadium until 2030, with the option of an additional year.
Foden has struggled for form in recent months. He has not scored since Dec. 14. Still, the new contract shows a commitment from both sides to keep working together.
The midfielder came on as a substitute in Monday's six-goal thriller at Everton. City trail Premier League leaders Arsenal by five points but have a game in hand.
Foden will hope to earn a spot in Thomas Tuchel's England squad for this summer's World Cup.
