NFL Schedules Packers-Rams for Inaugural Thanksgiving Eve Game on Netflix

The National Football League announced Wednesday that its inaugural Thanksgiving Eve game this year will feature the Green Bay Packers against the Los Angeles Rams on Netflix.

The league has expanded its holiday schedule in recent years. It added Black Friday games after recognizing fans' interest, and local bars filled up the night before Thanksgiving as well. The NFL has also taken on Christmas Day matchups.

The Packers and Rams faced each other every season from 2020 to 2024, including a playoff game in 2020, but did not play in 2025. Green Bay has dominated lately, winning 16 of the last 21 meetings since 1992 and 10 of the last 11.

Before their 2024 matchup, the previous four games were in Green Bay. The Thanksgiving Eve contest will mark back-to-back games in Los Angeles.

On Oct. 6, 2024, Tucker Kraft scored two touchdowns for the Packers, one for 66 yards, in a 24-19 road win. The Rams mounted a fourth-quarter comeback attempt but fell short.

Netflix will broadcast the game. The streaming service also airs the Rams' Week 1 game against the San Francisco 49ers in Australia, two Christmas games and a Week 18 Saturday matchup.
