Nationals serve hot dog fries on Hot Dog Day
The Washington Nationals have added hot dog fries to their menu for Hot Dog Day.
The team hosted the Baltimore Orioles on Friday and offered several specialty hot dogs. The new item features wieners sliced into thin strips and served with chipotle ranch.
The fries arrive in a mini batting helmet.
Some fans called the dish a bad idea, saying fried hot dogs would turn dry and that the combination with chipotle ranch would be too heavy. Others said they would try a bite if a friend ordered it, partly for the novelty and partly to test the flavor.
