Madonna, Shakira and BTS to Co-Headline World Cup Final Halftime Show
Madonna, Shakira and K-pop boy band BTS will co-headline a Super Bowl-style halftime show at this summer's World Cup final.
The tournament, co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, ends with the final in New Jersey on July 19.
Pre-match performances have become common at major events like the Champions League final, but this will be the first halftime show at a World Cup final.
Colombian pop star Shakira releases her official World Cup song Dai Dai on Thursday. The Italian phrase means "let's go" or "come on," and the track features Nigerian singer Burna Boy.
The 49-year-old singer of Hips Don't Lie also released Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
"Queen of Pop" Madonna, the best-selling female music artist of all time, prepares to release her 15th album, Confessions II, on July 3.
