The WNBA corrected Caitlin Clark's stat line from Friday night's game against the Washington Mystics. The league added two assists that had been left off the official sheet.

One was a wrap-around pass on the baseline to Monique Billings for a corner three. The other was a shovel pass to Kelsey Mitchell for another three that helped the Fever rally to force overtime.

The Indiana Fever announced the update on X. The team said the two assists made Clark the first player in WNBA history with multiple games of 30-plus points and 10-plus assists.

Clark also set a new league record for most career games with 20-plus points and 10-plus assists, now at 11, the Fever posted before their game against Seattle.

This is not the first time the WNBA has faced questions over Clark's assist totals. In 2024 the league posted that Clark had broken the single-season assist record, but the figure was 16 assists short of the actual total.

The Fever also drew criticism for a promotional graphic ahead of Sunday's game against Seattle. The image featured bench player Raven Johnson instead of Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston or Sophie Cunningham.

The writer called for the statistician to be reprimanded, saying the two passes were clear assists with no dribbles in between.
