Shay Mitchell and Jessica Belkin Film Lifeguard Scenes in Red Swimsuits on Baywatch Reboot Set

Shay Mitchell and Jessica Belkin reported for lifeguard duty in the signature red swimsuits on the Baywatch set in Venice, California.

Mitchell appeared on location May 1, slipping into a bright red one-piece lifeguard swimsuit. The Pretty Little Liars alum shaded her eyes from the sun as she posed near the beach set, sunglasses in hand.

In another image from the beach, Mitchell walked barefoot across the sand, eyes on her phone. Her long dark hair blew in the wind. She paired the lifeguard outfit with dark sunglasses and a white watch.

Belkin also filmed scenes for the Fox reboot that day. The 23-year-old actress wore a red swimsuit while kneeling in the sand by lifeguard equipment.

She leaned against an orange first-aid box between takes, wet blonde hair draped over her shoulders.

Belkin later used the equipment in a scene, providing medical aid to a man seated in the sand. Blue gloves on, she bent over the actor as fellow red-suited lifeguards and beachgoers watched nearby.

Days earlier, on April 23, Belkin posed on a boat in the signature swimsuit.

The new Baywatch reimagines the classic lifeguard drama, which debuted in 1989 and featured red swimsuits, beach rescues and slow-motion runs.

The reboot follows a new team of lifeguards at Venice Beach. Stephen Amell stars as Hobie Buchannon, son of David Hasselhoff's original character Mitch Buchannon. The cast includes Hassie Harrison, Noah Beck, Brooks Nader, Livvy Dunne, David Chokachi and Erika Eleniak.

Mitchell plays Trina in the series. She rose to fame as Emily Fields on Pretty Little Liars. During a November appearance on Call Her Daddy, she called the role a turning point.

"Pretty Little Liars was the biggest turning point in my life," Mitchell said. "I was doing bottle service before that and when I booked this job, it changed my life forever."

She told host Alex Cooper she resists being typecast.

"I just want to be free. Like I just want to be me, whatever that is," she said.

Belkin plays Charlie Vale, daughter of Amell's Hobie Buchannon. She has roles in The Hunting Wives and the upcoming Legally Blonde prequel Elle.

In an August Forbes interview, Belkin said she sought a career reset.

"I feel like I'm ready to have a fresh start and a blank slate for all of that," she said.
