Olympic Pole Vaulter Alysha Newman Lands Victoria's Secret Audition Amid 20-Month Doping Ban

Canadian pole vaulter Alysha Newman's future in track and field remains unclear. She faces a 20-month ban from competition for missing three unannounced drug tests within a 12-month period.

The 31-year-old Olympic bronze medalist has not announced retirement despite speculation. On Tuesday, she revealed landing an audition with Victoria's Secret.

Newman, who went viral for twerking after her event at the 2024 Paris Olympics, shared part of the brand's invitation in a video. It offers a chance to walk in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2026.

The move fits her modeling experience alongside elite track competition. She has worked with brands and created content for Instagram and OnlyFans. After her Olympic moment, she posed topless for Maxim.

In March, Newman posted black-and-white headshots from Los Angeles with the caption, "We didn’t come to LA to play… New headshots."

Her suspension ends in August 2027, shorter than the standard two years. The Athletics Integrity Unit reduced it after accepting her decision to end her career.
