Model Brooks Nader Suffers Dress Malfunction Before Baywatch Reboot Event

Brooks Nader suffered a wardrobe malfunction right before her appearance at the 2026 FOX Upfronts in New York City.

The 29-year-old model and actress promoted the new Baywatch reboot there. She shared a photo on her Instagram stories showing the back of her dress completely torn open in a small room, with her white lace underwear visible through the rip.

"When you bust out of your dress 4 minutes before showtime!!! Classssssicc," she wrote over the photo, adding two laughing crying emojis.

Nader posted another photo of herself getting sewn into the dress. "We've got 4 earth angels sewing me back into this sucker," she captioned it.

On the red carpet, the Sports Illustrated model wore a red minidress with a halter neckline. It matched the red uniforms worn by her and the other Baywatch lifeguards on the show. She kept accessories minimal and wore her hair in loose curls.

In the reboot, Nader plays Selene, a captain of the Zuma Beach Lifeguards. She called landing the role "a pinch me moment" in an Extra interview on the red carpet. But many fans disliked her casting.

Critics hit social media with doubts about the reboot's choices. Some labeled it "influencer casting, not acting" and called the project "a JOKE" with an "awful cast" after her announcement.

"I think that the times are different, and everyone is so multi-hyphenate now. And you can be both an actor and an influencer and have influence," Nader told the Daily Mail in March. "And that's the beauty of the culture that social media has created."

She added that "we all have platforms now" that did not exist during the original show's run. That lets people "use their voice now," which can "bring a vibe to the show."

Influencers Noah Beck and Livvy Dunne will also appear on the show in other roles. Nader said that will "only help" the project.

The original Baywatch ran for 11 seasons from 1989 to 1999. It starred David Hasselhoff, Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra, Nicole Eggert, Donna D'Errico and others.

Carmen Electra endorsed Nader's role when People asked in March. "I do. Absolutely. Yeah," she said.
