The New York Knicks hold a 2-0 lead over the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA playoffs' second round. Hours after their dominant Game 1 victory on Monday, several Knicks players tried to enter an exclusive after-party hosted by Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter at Zero Bond, a members-only club in NoHo.

Security denied them entry at the velvet rope. TMZ reported the players could not get wristbands despite their fresh playoff win over Philadelphia. A staffer with an iPad delivered a firm "not tonight."

The Knicks had reason for confidence. They became the first team in NBA history to win three straight playoff games by 25 or more points each. The party held a strict cap of about 200 guests.

Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter kept the event tight and curated. Security did not make exceptions once capacity was reached. A connection to Timothee Chalamet might have helped, but it did not.

No resentment affected their play. The Knicks beat the 76ers 108-102 in Game 2 on Wednesday. They now travel to Philadelphia with the series lead.

New York City has temporarily co-named streets after Knicks players during the playoff run. The team receives VIP treatment almost everywhere in the city except Zero Bond.
