Florida detectives are investigating a group of teenagers who damaged Weston Hills Golf Course during a late-night joyride that scarred the greens with tire tracks and caused thousands of dollars in property damage.

The incident occurred around 7:17 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at the Weston Hills Golf Course, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to reports of suspicious activity and found evidence of significant damage to the course’s greens.

A witness told deputies that several juveniles had been riding motorized bikes and a golf cart across the course. Video shared by local authorities shows the teenagers weaving through the landscape. The witness said the teens accelerated and stopped abruptly, skidding across the greens and leaving visible marks.

At least four teens rode motorized bikes across the course, while others drove a golf cart directly on the greens, an area off-limits due to the risk of damage. Golf course staff conducted an initial assessment and estimated $3,000 in damage.

Weston Hills Golf Course features two 18-hole championship courses and covers more than 300 acres.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office classified the incident as criminal mischief and is working to identify those involved. Officials have not released descriptions of the juveniles but said the video evidence may generate leads.
