FBI Agents Train With UFC Fighters Ahead of White House Event
The FBI prepared for a UFC event on White House grounds by training roughly 300 agents in hand-to-hand combat with UFC partners.
FBI Director Kash Patel said the bureau had worked with the UFC on the sessions ahead of UFC Freedom 250. He posted video of the training on X and wrote that the agents learned tactics to safeguard American lives.
The FBI's Rapid Response team also shared footage and said the greatest fighters in the world had met the greatest cops in the world.
UFC lightweight contender Justin Gaethje appeared in the footage. Earlier this year he trained agents and academy personnel at the FBI's Special Agent Academy in Quantico, Virginia. More recent video showed him using FBI headquarters as part of his preparation for his title fight against Ilia Topuria at UFC Freedom 250.
Fighters were expected to use the Eisenhower Executive Office Building as locker rooms before walking to the Octagon on the South Lawn. Travis Pastrana planned a stunt to open the main card broadcast, possibly involving a dirt bike back-flip over the South Lawn.
