Former England captain Sir David Beckham has become the UK's first billionaire sportsman on the 2026 Sunday Times Rich List.
Beckham and his wife Victoria's combined wealth hit £1.185 billion, according to the list's compilers. That figure puts them second among sportspeople, trailing only the family of former Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone, whose fortune stands at £2 billion.
Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy ranks seventh with £325 million. The 37-year-old golfer earned the spot after winning back-to-back Masters titles.
Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe fell from seventh to ninth on the overall UK list. His wealth dropped £1.85 billion to £15.194 billion.
