Darby Allin defended the AEW World Championship against Sammy Guevara on Saturday night’s Collision.

Guevara, one half of the Ring of Honor tag team champions, challenged Allin for the title at Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor. Allin had been scheduled to face Maxwell Jacob Friedman at Double or Nothing in New York City.

Allin has made five straight title defenses since winning the belt from MJF. He beat Tommaso Ciampa, Brody King, Kevin Knight, Pac and Konosuke Takeshita before facing Guevara.

The match featured the high-flying style fans expected from both wrestlers. Guevara set Allin on a table and climbed a ladder, then hit a dive off the ladder. Allin survived a Spanish fly and avoided a 450 splash. Guevara crashed through a table. Allin rolled him back into the ring and hit a Coffin Drop for the pin.

Mark Briscoe returned to AEW after several months out with an injury from an assault by Tommaso Ciampa. He teamed with Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly of The Conglomeration against Lee Moriarty, Shawn Dean and Jay Triller of Shane Taylor Promotions in a world trios title elimination match.

Briscoe received the tag to a loud reaction from the crowd in Salisbury, Maryland. He used a chair on his opponents, then hit a Froggy Bow and a Jay Driller to pin Dean.

Briscoe will face Ciampa in a no-disqualifications match on the next Collision, a three-hour special that also includes Dynamite.

Will Ospreay addressed Samoa Joe ahead of their first-round Owen Hart Foundation Tournament match. Ospreay is seeking a shot at the AEW World Championship at All In.

Joe had tried to keep Ospreay away from The Death Riders while Ospreay trained with the group to get cleared to return. Ospreay said he had lost six months to injury and was upset he could not be the wrestler AEW once trusted. He said he respects Joe but no one will stop him from winning the Owen.

Other results on Collision included Willow Nightingale retaining the TBS Championship against Red Velvet. Samoa Joe and Anthony Bowens defeated Jay Lethal and Lee Johnson. Megan Bayne and Lena Kross beat Allie Katch and Kaia McKenna. David Finlay, Clark Connors and Mark Davis defeated Myron Reed, Desmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz.
