Cedric Alexander captured the TNA X Division Championship from Leon Slater on Thursday night in Sacramento, California, ending Slater's bid to become the longest-reigning champion in company history.

Slater needed two pins on Alexander to retain the title and break Austin Aries' record. The pair traded blows at the start, but Slater rolled up Alexander for the first fall.

Alexander fired back with a German suplex outside the ring and targeted Slater's neck. He followed with a Lumbar Check to even the score at 1-1.

Slater answered with an avalanche Styles Clash, but Alexander kicked out. Alexander dumped Slater to the floor, rammed him into the steel steps and drew blood. "I will be the greatest X Division champion," Alexander said. A brainbuster failed to secure the pin.

Alexander landed another Lumbar Check, but Slater kicked out. Slater hit a tilt-a-whirl slam and went for a swanton 450, only to miss. Alexander connected with two more Lumbar Checks and pinned Slater for the victory. It marked Alexander's first TNA title.

"The System always wins," Alexander said afterward.

Fabian Aichner, who wrestled as Giovanni Vinci in WWE until 2025, made his return just before the show ended. The lights went out at Sacramento Memorial Auditorium, and Aichner emerged to stare down Alexander, signaling a title challenge.

Aichner had competed under his real name in WWE early on and later as Vinci starting in June 2022. He held two NXT tag team titles and an Evolve championship.

Eric Young won a battle royal to earn a future shot at Mike Santana's TNA World Championship. He outlasted nine others, including a final showdown with Elijah on the apron.

Young grabbed Elijah's hair to stay alive. Elijah broke free, but Young kicked him in the groin and shoved him off to win. "Mike Santana, you're gone next," Young said, after previously eliminating Joe Hendry, EC3 and Ricky Sosa.

Santana later addressed the crowd and praised Young's role in building TNA. "You better be coming with something different because while you may be someone who helped build this place, when it comes to the new era of TNA on AMC, I'm the guy," Santana said.

Daria Rae then announced Steve Maclin had been cleared from an injury caused by Santana. Maclin will challenge for the TNA World Championship next week on Impact.

Santino Marella, back after a suspension, revealed Indi Harwell re-signed with TNA.

Lei Ying Lee, fresh off winning the TNA Knockouts Championship from Arianna Grace, spoke to the crowd. Xia Brookside interrupted in all black and called Lee a fraud. "I've destroyed you mentally, I've destroyed you emotionally, I've destroyed you physically, and that title will be around my waist," Brookside said. The two traded insults.

A.J. Francis defeated KC Navarro in a SacTown Street Fight. Navarro landed baseball bat shots and a trash can dropkick. Francis used the bat in response.

Navarro stacked six chairs for a splash, but Francis countered into an avalanche Down Payment attempt. Navarro hit a cutter as they crashed through the chairs, but Francis kicked out.

Francis then delivered a Down Payment through tables outside the ring and pinned Navarro for the win.
