Caitlin Clark's appearance with Morgan Wallen to kick off his concert at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday night sparked divided reactions from WNBA fans. It came hours after the Indiana Fever lost their home opener 107-104 to the Dallas Wings to start the 2026 season.

Clark scored 20 points with seven assists and five rebounds in the defeat but missed a potential game-tying three-pointer with seven seconds left. She played 31 minutes despite needing a locker-room visit during the game to have her back adjusted.

The stadium crowd cheered as Clark walked out with Wallen through the arena tunnels. A clip posted by Barstool Sports on X drew quick comments from users.

One wrote, "I’m sorry.. you didn’t get back on defense and Paige Bueckers drops 20 on you. Plus you miss a 3 at the end and take an L. Do better."

Others criticized Clark's association with Wallen, who faced backlash in 2021 after using a racial slur on camera. "She walks out with a racist? Not a good look," one user said.

Some praised the pair. One called Clark and Wallen "Two GOATS."

Fever teammate Sophie Cunningham posted on her Instagram Story that Clark was a "bada—b----."

Clark addressed her back issue after the game. "It gets out of line pretty quickly," she said, according to the New York Post. "So just that, just getting my back put back in place a little bit. But other than that, feel great."

She led the team in minutes played despite injuries that limited her to 13 games in 2025. The Fever face the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday on the West Coast.
