Washington Huskies Women's Soccer Team Loses to Under-14 Boys Squad
The University of Washington's women's soccer team took a loss last week against an under-14 boys squad.
The Huskies, a Division I power-conference team that won the Big Ten Tournament and reached the Elite Eight last season, scheduled the match as practice. Facing men or boys makes games against women's teams feel easier by comparison.
The team of college women could not beat the barely pubescent boys. Similar results have occurred before. In 2017, the U.S. Women's National Team lost 5-2 to the U-15 FC Dallas boys team shortly after its Women's World Cup victory. The Swiss Women's National Team also fell 7-1 to a U-15 boys team.
These matches provide a reference point for biological males in female sports. The outcomes show clear differences between men and women in competitive sports.
