Trump-backed candidate defeats Massie in Kentucky GOP primary
Ed Gallrein defeated Rep. Thomas Massie in the Republican primary for Kentucky's 4th Congressional District on Tuesday. President Donald Trump had backed Gallrein in the race.
Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said the result destroyed the future of the Republican Party. She praised Massie as a giant among weak pathetic men and said releasing the Epstein files led to their demise. Greene wrote that the country is ruled by the Epstein class and that elected leaders are bought and controlled by a foreign lobby.
She added that the Real America First Movement will rise, led by younger generations who hate the old guard. Massie replied to Rep. Erin Houchin of Indiana, who had congratulated Trump on the result, by asking how his boots taste.
In his concession speech, Massie said he had to call his opponent to concede and joked that it took a while to find Ed Gallrein in Tel Aviv. Sen. Lindsey Graham said the power of Donald Trump is real and congratulated Gallrein on the victory. Graham called Gallrein a warrior and businessman who has sacrificed for the nation. He said he admired Massie for staying true to his beliefs despite their differences.
