Sophie Cunningham Comments on Angel Reese's Repost of Boyfriend Dunking on Ex During NBA Playoffs

Sophie Cunningham commented this week on the drama surrounding Angel Reese, her boyfriend Wendell Carter Jr. and her rumored ex Jalen Duren.

The situation began during the first-round NBA playoff series between the Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons. Reese reposted a video to her Instagram story of Carter dunking on Duren. The clip quickly went viral, with fans seeing it as Reese taking a shot at Duren.

Cunningham addressed it on the latest episode of her "Show Me Something" podcast. She and co-host West Wilson discussed the repost after their producer raised it.

"Something had to have happened for [Reese] to keep, I don't know, wanting to embarrass him in some way," Cunningham said.

Wilson suggested maybe nothing happened. Cunningham replied, "But then move on! Worry about the current boyfriend."

The tension grew in Game 7. Pistons fans chanted "Angel Reese" at Carter during Detroit's blowout win over Orlando. Duren and the Pistons advanced to the second round, while Carter headed home for the offseason.

Reese has not publicly responded to the chants or Cunningham's remarks.
