Oasis Brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher Give First Joint Interview in 25 Years for Reunion Tour Documentary
Oasis brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher have given their first joint interview in 25 years for a documentary on their reunion tour.
Disney confirmed that Steven Knight, the Oscar-nominated director of Peaky Blinders, made the feature-length film. It hits theaters on September 11.
The movie centers on the band's 2025 global reunion tour. The brothers took the stage together after a 16-year split and sold out venues like Wembley Stadium.
Feuds between the Manchester frontmen caused the band's breakup. That came after their huge success reshaped rock 'n' roll in the 1990s and 2000s.
Fans had waited for the comeback since the dramatic 2009 split. It followed years of reunion teases.
A joint statement from Disney, Sony Music Vision and Magna Studios called the Oasis tour "the biggest musical event of 2025." The documentary shows moments from rehearsals, backstage and onstage.
The untitled concert film includes "the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam in over 25 years," the statement said.
Knight said: "I wanted to tell the story of the brothers and the band, but just as important, the story of the fans whose lives the music has touched and sometimes changed forever. It is also the story of how music and songwriting can unite generations, cultures, countries and in a time of spite and division, give us all some reason to hope."
Noel and Liam played hits like Don't Look Back in Anger and Wonderwall for crowds in the US, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Argentina and Brazil. That followed opening shows in the UK and Ireland.
Nostalgic fans saw the brothers hug and banter onstage. The displays signaled a change for the rock stars after more than a decade of public insults.
Their success should bring each brother about £50 million ($68 million), according to estimates from Birmingham City University.
Concert films have gained steam lately. Singers have turned live show stories into cinema hits, like Taylor Swift's Eras Tour film and Billie Eilish's 3D movie directed by James Cameron of Avatar.
