A man with a prior DWI conviction allegedly drove drunk to the county jail to pick up a friend who had been released after their own DWI arrest.

Antone Glionna, 25, of Hagaman, New York, arrived at the Montgomery County Jail on Saturday, May 16. He drove into a restricted area instead of using the public parking lot, according to Sheriff Jeffery T. Smith of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

A deputy spoke with him, suspected he was under the influence, and conducted field sobriety tests. Glionna failed the tests and was arrested for DWI.

Police checked his DMV records and found that his New York State driver's license had been revoked because of a prior DWI-related conviction and a chemical test refusal.

Glionna was charged with unlicensed operation in the first degree, driving with a BAC of 0.08% or higher, and other offenses. He was processed, given an appearance ticket for Glen Town Court, and released to a third party.
