Man Denies Threatening Prince Andrew Near Sandringham Home
A man denied threatening Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor during an alleged incident near his home on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
Alex Jenkinson, 39, of no fixed address, faces two counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behavior to harass someone or cause alarm or distress. One count stems from an incident on Wednesday in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, where he is accused of threatening the former Duke of York. He also allegedly threatened Stephen Terry the day before. Jenkinson denies both charges.
Jenkinson appeared in court via video link from King's Lynn Police Investigation Centre in Norfolk, his right arm in a sling. He pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of blood in custody.
The court ordered him not to enter Norfolk, not to contact Mountbatten-Windsor directly or indirectly, not to approach or attempt to approach him, and not to go within 500 meters of Sandringham Estate, Buckingham Palace, Balmoral Castle, Windsor Castle or Highgrove.
On Friday, prosecutors requested a remote link for Mountbatten-Windsor to testify from Kings Lynn Magistrates' Court. The chief magistrate approved but suggested a non-court location might be better.
Norfolk Police had said a man was arrested Wednesday after reports of intimidating behavior in Wolferton. The incident occurred near Marsh Farm, the Sandringham Estate property where Mountbatten-Windsor moved after leaving Royal Lodge in Windsor due to his association with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
He was also stripped by the King of his right to be a prince and his dukedom late last year over those Epstein links.
