Maitland Ward says she still feels betrayed by her former Boy Meets World co-stars more than a year after a heated exchange on their podcast.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Ward said she has had no contact with Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong and Will Friedle since the February 2025 episode of Pod Meets World. She offered support when Fishel competed on Dancing with the Stars, but the two sides have not spoken otherwise.

"We have not spoken at all. There's been no contact, except when I offered my support and everything. But there's been no ill will either," Ward said. "There's been no fighting or anything. It's just, we have not spoken, those three. We're in a place where we are not connected right now, and it's sad."

Ward said she felt set up during the podcast appearance. "I still feel betrayed by the situation because I do think I was set up for reasons that only they can explain," she said. "I was taken very much off guard in that situation. And it makes me sad. I just wish that there was a way that we could all come together and not be in this bad place."

The tension surfaced when Fishel asked Ward if she hated the group. Ward said she did not hate them but felt hurt that they had not spoken to her during the Girl Meets World spin-off. She accused the hosts of trying to create conflict for ratings.

Fishel said Girl Meets World was a difficult set and that she felt ostracized and criticized. She later described Ward's appearance as an attempt to generate press through conflict.

Ward told Fox News Digital she felt bullied during the exchange. "It was three against one, really four because Fishel's husband is the producer," she said. "It felt like a very toxic situation."

Ward said she did not create the conflict and rejected Fishel's claim that she sought publicity. She added that she was not going to benefit financially from the appearance.

Despite the fallout, Ward said she offered genuine support to Fishel after her Dancing with the Stars elimination. "I have nothing but love for her and for the experience that we had together on the show," she said.

Ward described the past year as strange. She said the group remains connected through their shared work on Boy Meets World even if they are not friends now. "No matter what, we are always going to be connected in this way that can never split us apart," she said.
