LeBron James Hypes Caitlin Clark Ahead of Fever Opener
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever open their season in days, and the WNBA star drew a shoutout from LeBron James.
The Los Angeles Lakers forward commented "LFG!!!!!!!!" on Clark's Instagram post that read, "Year 3!!! See you all soon."
James has shown himself a fan of the Fever guard. Before her second WNBA season, he posted, "Good luck and DO YOU per usual this season!!!"
Clark's Year 2 fell short of early promise. She scored in double figures for eight straight games to start, but managed just six points in 31 minutes against the Seattle Storm.
She hit at least 12 points in each of her final three games. On July 15, a hamstring injury sidelined her before the All-Star break, and she did not return for the year.
Last month, Clark said she was "100% healthy" for the 2026 season.
"I’m a person that doesn’t want to sit out a single rep, like I want to be in there every single time," she told reporters in April. "But I think just being a little bit smarter with my body…whether that’s recovery, whether that’s pre-court treatment, whatever it is."
Clark has backed that up in preseason action so far.
