Los Angeles Police Department officers recovered more than $500,000 in stolen goods from a used car lot after a European company that makes high-end adult toys tipped them off.

The company discovered its stolen merchandise for sale online and purchased some of it. It then provided the shipping address to authorities, who traced it to the used car lot. The LAPD's Cargo Theft Task Force and partner agencies raided the site.

Undercover officers uncovered a range of items, ABC7 reported after gaining exclusive access to the haul worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. The stash included high-end adult products, acoustic drum parts, power tools, boxes of jeans, DeWalt tools, Nike goods, Yeti mugs and Acer computers.

"We've seen DeWalt. We've seen Nike. We have seen our stolen product that, what brought us here in the first place," an undercover LAPD detective told the station.

"Unfortunately, we're in the capital of cargo theft, both train and commercial cargo theft, out here in Los Angeles," the detective added.

Police arrested Peter Ahoubim of Beverly Hills on suspicion of receiving stolen property. Officers said they have inventoried about a quarter of the seized items from the car lot and related storage containers, already totaling $500,000 in recovered goods.

The LAPD urged online shoppers to watch for signs of stolen merchandise, such as no return policies and unusually low prices.
