Israeli Strikes Kill 10 in Southern Lebanon Despite Ceasefire
Israeli air strikes killed at least 10 people in southern Lebanon, state media reported, even after a ceasefire failed to halt fighting between Israel and Hezbollah.
Overnight, six people died and seven were injured when a house in Kfar Dounine took a direct hit, Lebanon's state-run National News Agency said.
On Tuesday afternoon, the health ministry reported two paramedics from the state-run Lebanese Civil Defense died and a third was hurt in an Israeli strike on Nabatieh. They were responding to an earlier attack that killed one person.
The Israeli military said it was reviewing the reports.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun voiced sadness and regret over the deaths of the two Civil Defense members in Nabatieh, identified as Hussein Jaber and Ahmad Noura. He said the continued Israeli aggression hinders efforts to restore calm.
"This targeting constitutes further evidence of the Israeli enemy's blatant violation of international humanitarian law and its full disregard for all international norms," Aoun said.
The ministry reported Monday that 108 emergency medical services and healthcare workers have died in Lebanon during the war. It recorded more than 140 Israeli attacks on ambulances and medical facilities.
The National News Agency said a Syrian man died and his wife was wounded Tuesday when an Israeli drone hit the motorcycle they rode in the Tayr Debba area.

Hezbollah fighters launched explosive drones at Israeli troops in southern Lebanon with no casualties, the military added.
Hezbollah said it targeted Israeli troops in Naqoura, Bayada and Houla in southern Lebanon with drones, plus a soldier in Kibbutz Manara in northern Israel.

Hezbollah has fired rockets and drones at northern Israel communities and troops in southern Lebanon.
Israeli and Lebanese officials plan to meet again in Washington on Thursday to seek an end to the war.
The conflict began March 2, two days after a US-Israel joint attack on Iran. Hezbollah launched rockets into Israel, prompting Israeli air strikes and a ground invasion of southern Lebanon.
Lebanon's health ministry says at least 2,869 people have died in Lebanon so far, including 380 since the ceasefire. The figures do not separate combatants from civilians.
