Florida Woman Charged with Robbing Man She Lured to Miami Condo
Miami police arrested a 30-year-old Florida woman who allegedly lured a man to her luxury Biscayne Bay condo through social media messages and robbed him with help from two accomplices.
Nicole Cano faces charges of false imprisonment and strong-arm robbery. According to an arrest affidavit cited by Local 10, Cano contacted the victim on Instagram around 8 p.m. on April 11 and invited him over for drinks at her Miami apartment.
The encounter turned hostile on the balcony when two other women came out of a bedroom and joined Cano in confronting the man, police said.
The three women demanded money. The victim said he had no cash. When he tried to leave, a fight broke out, and they told him he was "going to pay," authorities reported.
During the struggle, someone yanked a gold chain from the victim's neck. He held onto the chain but lost a $300 gold cross pendant. He then broke free, ran from the apartment and yelled for help before calling police.
On May 1, the victim picked Cano out of a six-photo lineup, the charging document states.
Cano was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
