Ex-Texas A&M RB Le'Veon Moss Retires Four Days After Signing with Dolphins
Former Texas A&M running back Le'Veon Moss signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent last week ahead of the team's rookie minicamp. The 23-year-old abruptly retired Tuesday and was placed on the reserve/retired list that afternoon.
Moss appeared in 32 games for the Aggies and rushed for 1,767 yards with 22 touchdowns. An All-SEC selection, he suffered a torn ACL and MCL in 2024 along with an ankle injury the prior season against Florida. Those injuries ended his College Station career early.
Miami Herald reporter Barry Jackson said Moss will have to return most or all of the $258,000 guaranteed in his contract.
The Dolphins are rebuilding for 2026. Moss had been expected to compete for the No. 2 running back job behind De'Vone Achane, another Texas A&M product.
