A Beverly Hills mansion constructed on the site of one of America's most notorious murder scenes has returned to the rental market at nearly $250,000 a month.

The property, Villa Andalusia, was previously listed for sale at $50 million without finding a buyer. It now rents for $247,500 per month, according to Realtor.com.

The listing emphasizes luxury features such as sweeping views, tropical landscaping and resort-style amenities. It omits the dark history that made the address infamous.

The 21,000-square-foot home stands on the land where actress Sharon Tate, eight and a half months pregnant, was killed in August 1969 by followers of cult leader Charles Manson.

Tate stayed at the home while her husband, filmmaker Roman Polanski, was abroad. In the early morning hours, Manson Family members entered and launched a brutal attack.

Tate died alongside celebrity hairstylist Jay Sebring, coffee heiress Abigail Folger and writer Wojciech Frykowski. Steven Parent was shot and killed in the driveway.

The killings formed part of a two-night spree ordered by Manson that claimed seven lives and shocked the nation. The next night, followers murdered Leno and Rosemary LaBianca and left messages in blood at the scene.

Authorities said the violence aimed to incite chaos and fear as part of Manson's belief in an impending race war he called "Helter Skelter."

The original house linked to the murders was demolished. Decades later, television producer Jeff Franklin bought the land for $6 million and built a new estate completed in 2006, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Franklin lived there for years. He has described the property's past as "ancient history" with no impact on him, the outlet reported.

The current estate includes nine bedrooms and 18 bathrooms, plus a theater, poker room, multiple bars and several aquariums, one built into a dining area.

The 3.6-acre grounds hold two pools linked by a lazy river, multiple waterfalls, hot tubs, a waterslide, a swim-up bar and a koi pond. A large motor court fits dozens of vehicles.

The home failed to sell at its prior price, prompting questions about the lasting effect of its history on buyers.

The listing draws fresh attention as the Manson murders stay prominent. California Gov. Gavin Newsom recently denied parole to Patricia Krenwinkel, a participant in the killings, stating she remains "an unreasonable danger to society."

Krenwinkel, 77, has served decades in prison. Officials acknowledged her rehabilitation attempts, but Newsom said she still fails to grasp her role in the crimes.

Manson was convicted in 1971 of directing the killings and died in prison in 2017.

Fox News Digital contacted the listing agent and Jeff Franklin for comment.
