Arsenal's Ben White Out for Season with Knee Injury, Likely to Miss England World Cup
Arsenal defender Ben White will miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury and faces missing England's World Cup campaign.
The 28-year-old picked up the injury in the first half of Arsenal's 1-0 win at West Ham on Sunday. He left London Stadium wearing a knee brace.
In a statement, the club said White has a significant medial ligament injury. It will rule him out of the last two Premier League games and the Champions League final on May 30.
The statement added that the medical team is managing White's recovery and rehabilitation program. Everyone is focused on supporting his aim to be ready for the start of pre-season preparations.
White has made 30 appearances in all competitions this season. He started the past five Arsenal games but only nine league games.
Wins against Burnley and Crystal Palace in the Gunners' final two Premier League games would secure a first league title in 22 years. Arsenal also face Paris Saint-Germain in their first Champions League final in 20 years.
