Violent clashes broke out outside a Brooklyn synagogue this week as anti-Israel protesters swarmed the site, blocked access to a real estate event and brawled with Jewish supporters. Police struggled to restore order amid the chaos.

A commission report found that Hamas used sexual violence deliberately and systematically during its October 7 attack. The 300-page "Silenced No More" study details gang rapes, mutilation and torture as calculated tools of war against Israeli society.

Sen. John Fetterman voiced support for Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice David Wecht's decision to leave the Democratic Party over rising antisemitism. Fetterman, still a Democrat, called on his party to address internal "Jew-hatred" and labeled the trend a "rot" within its ranks.

Loay Alnaji, a California professor charged in the death of pro-Israel protester Paul Kessler, faces involuntary manslaughter rather than murder. He could receive up to four years in prison, though a plea deal might reduce that time and has drawn accusations of leniency.

New York City Councilwoman Julie Menin criticized Mayor Zohran Mamdani as "not a leader" after antisemitic graffiti appeared on Queens synagogues. Critics link Mamdani's prior backing of anti-Israel protesters to the ongoing hatred.

In a guest editorial, Dana W. White and Shahar Azani wrote that radical progressives and "The Squad" are eroding the historic Black-Jewish alliance. They argue that claims of Jewish advocacy as "anti-Black" undermine a century of civil rights cooperation and boost antisemitism.

"Acquiescence to Jew-hatred is now disturbingly common among activists, leaders and even many elected officials in the Democratic Party," Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice David Wecht said as he announced his departure from the party.

Thousands marched against antisemitism in London earlier this week.
