Two Dead, Three Hospitalized in Koreatown Shooting; 69-Year-Old Suspect Arrested
Two people died and three others landed in hospitals following a shooting Monday morning in Carrollton’s Koreatown area, police reported.
Carrollton Police Chief Roberto Arredondo confirmed the arrest of 69-year-old suspect Seung Han Ho during an afternoon news conference.
Officers responded just before 10 a.m. to the incident at K Towne Plaza in the 4000 block of Highway 121.
A CBS Texas Chopper recorded a heavy law enforcement presence that included Carrollton Police and the Department of Public Safety.
Arriving officers discovered five victims. Two were declared dead at the scene, while paramedics took the other three to a hospital in unknown condition. Authorities have not released the victims' names.
Arredondo said the shooting stemmed from a business meeting. It was not a random act, he added.
Undercover officers spotted Han Ho's vehicle. An attempt to approach him led to a brief foot chase. They took him into custody near 2625 Old Denton Road.
No charges have been announced. The investigation continues.
