Trump Posts 'NICE' Graphic Referencing ICE on Cinco de Mayo
President Donald Trump marked Cinco de Mayo on Monday with a Truth Social post featuring a stylized "NICE" graphic, a play on Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE.
The post adds to Trump's string of Cinco de Mayo messages that draw online attention each year, including his 2016 taco bowl post.
Trump often blends humor, politics and immigration themes in these holiday posts. He had already endorsed the "NICE" rebranding idea in a late April Truth Social message, writing: "GREAT IDEA!!! DO IT."
The phrase came from a social media suggestion that Trump amplified. The image he shared featured an eagle-and-shield design above "NICE," styled like federal law enforcement branding and referencing ICE.
Trump's most famous Cinco de Mayo moment came in 2016 as a candidate. He posted a photo of himself at a desk in Trump Tower with a taco bowl in front, giving a thumbs up to the camera. The caption read: "Happy #CincoDeMayo! The best taco bowls are made in Trump Tower Grill. I love Hispanics!"
That post went viral and resurfaces nearly every year. Last year, Trump reshared it and wrote: "This was so wonderful, 9 years ago today!"
Users continue to revisit the image. One posted it with the comment "Cinco de Trumpo." Another called it "such a classic," while a third quipped, "maybe the greatest tweet of all time."
Trump's taco bowl post stands as one of the most recognizable Cinco de Mayo moments on social media.
