Retailers Launch Early Memorial Day Deals on Mattresses, Grills and Tools

Memorial Day falls on May 25, less than three weeks away, and retailers already offer early discounts on best-sellers from brands like Skechers, Saatva, DeWalt and Levi's. The holiday draws sales across categories from mattresses and grills to undergarments, tools and sneakers.

Most stores kick off promotions days or weeks before the long weekend. Amazon updates its deals section daily with sales on tech and home products. Cozy Earth discounts towels and pajamas up to 60 percent. Wayfair cuts prices on patio furniture and garden items. Best Buy has deals on headphones and laptops. Lowe’s offers up to 35 percent off appliances, with more to come. Nolah sells mattresses and sleep products up to 35 percent off.

DeWalt cordless drill and driver set sells for $149, down 38 percent from $239. The set includes two batteries, built-in LED lights and ergonomic handles.

Levi's men's 405 shorts go for $34.65, a 37 percent drop from $54.95. The classic fit ends above the knee with a roomier thigh. Five colors and multiple sizes are available.

Saatva Classic mattress costs $1,879, 14 percent off the $2,179 original price. The Euro pillow top and dual-coil design balance support and cushioning.

Weber Spirit E-325 grill is $599, down 14 percent from $699. The Lowe’s-exclusive model has a three-burner system and matte black finish. Grates and a frame kit allow pizza oven or wok setups with attachments.

Skechers contour foam slip-ins are $67.50, 27 percent off $92. The hands-free shoes offer cushioned foam and are machine-washable.

Wall charger surge protector sells for $9.99, 23 percent below $12.96. It has nine ports including AC outlets and USB, plus surge protection. More than 10,000 shoppers bought it on Amazon last month.
