Marco Rubio DJs at Family Wedding in Video Shared by White House Aide
Secretary of State Marco Rubio drew online attention after a video surfaced showing him working a DJ booth at a family wedding.
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino posted the clip on X. It captures Rubio wearing headphones behind a DJ setup. He leans over the controls as music plays and guests dance nearby. Rubio pumps his fist several times, nods to the beat and cues the next track. The crowd cheers from around the booth.
"MOMENTS AGO, BEHIND THE SCENES—Our Great Secretary of State @MarcoRubio DJ’s weddings too! Here he is in action tonight at a family wedding… Let’s goooooo!!!" Scavino wrote.
The track is "Shiver" by John Summit and Hayla, a high-energy dance song with a pulsing beat and dramatic drop. Dancers move in sync and react to the music.
Social media users reacted to the sight of a sitting U.S. secretary of state handling DJ duties at the family event. One user wrote, "Marco becoming the official White House DJ," and shared an AI-generated photo of Rubio in black attire, sunglasses and headphones next to DJ equipment in a club-like setting with professional lighting and staging.
Other X users posted AI images of Rubio at two turntables and a microphone. Another wrote, "Marco can do it all!" with an image of Rubio at the turntables while Vice President JD Vance sits nearby on an ottoman amid haze and lighting effects.
