Man Charged with Assault and Antisemitic Threats Against Three Jewish People in North London

A man faces charges for physically assaulting three Jewish people and making antisemitic threats in north London.

Dylan Ossei, 34, of Hornchurch in east London, has been charged with five offenses. Two men, aged 58 and 26, and a 53-year-old woman suffered injuries that required no further medical treatment.

Metropolitan Police arrested him after a man was seen harassing, threatening and assaulting Jewish community members on Southbury Road in Enfield around 1:20 a.m. BST on Saturday.

Ossei remains in custody and is scheduled to appear at Highbury Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The charges include assault, racially or religiously aggravated assault, threatening or abusive behavior to cause fear or provoke violence, racially or religiously aggravated harassment, and threatening or abusive behavior to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

Det Supt Marco Bardetti, who oversees policing in Enfield and Haringey, said: "The Met has made it abundantly clear that we treat reports of alleged antisemitic hate crime with the utmost seriousness and diligence, as demonstrated by the swift arrest and charge following this incident."
