Braden Eric Peters, the 20-year-old social media influencer known as Clavicular for his viral looksmaxxing videos, faces a misdemeanor charge of discharging a firearm in public after allegedly shooting a dead alligator on a livestream in Florida's Everglades.

Court documents obtained by Fox News Digital detail the charge against Peters, who is also known as the popular looksmaxxing figure. The incident occurred on March 26 at the Francis Taylor Everglades Wildlife Management Area, People reported.

Video of the event spread widely online and shows an airboat carrying Peters stopping in front of the dead alligator. "Should we shoot it?" one man asks in the clip. Peters responds, "Is it dead? Let’s just test how dead it really is."

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission posted a statement on social media saying it was aware of a video showing individuals on an airboat in the Everglades discharging firearms at an alligator. Officials said they were looking into the incident but did not name Peters.

Peters' attorney told People that his client received a summons for the misdemeanor charge stemming from following instructions from a licensed airboat guide. "He relied on that guidance. No animals or people were harmed," the lawyer wrote. "We are confident that once the full picture is understood, people will see this for what it is."

Peters has not been arrested in this case. He faces the charge alongside Yabdiel Anibal Cotto Torres and Andrew Morales, who are accused of the same violation. Conviction carries a possible sentence of up to one year in prison for each man.

A lawyer for Morales told the outlet, "We encourage the public to keep an open mind while the legal process moves forward. At this point, there is no claim that any animal suffered injury, and much of the public reaction has been driven by incomplete or misleading portrayals online."

The statement added, "My client relied on representations made by individuals in positions of authority and never acted with criminal purpose or intent. Mr. Morales intends on resolving this matter in a way that promotes the rule of law and respect for law enforcement."

This is not Peters' first brush with the law in Florida. In March, Fort Lauderdale police arrested him on a warrant from Osceola County for alleged battery and criminal conspiracy to commit battery.

Osceola County deputies had responded to an Airbnb near Kissimmee on Feb. 2 for a reported altercation, according to a statement from the Osceola County Sheriff's Office to Fox News Digital. A 19-year-old woman told officers that 24-year-old Violet Marie Lentz, Peters' girlfriend, had battered her.

Detectives found that Peters instigated the fight between the women and posted video of it on social media to exploit them, authorities said. Police took Peters into custody on $1,000 bond and issued a warrant for Lentz on a misdemeanor battery charge.

Fox News Digital sought comment from attorneys for Peters, Torres and Morales, as well as the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Miami-Dade Prosecutors' Office.
