A Florida judge ruled that prosecutors will receive Tiger Woods' recent prescription drug history in his DUI case.

An April court filing indicated a subpoena for Woods' prescription records after his March DUI arrest. His attorneys opposed it, but TC Palm reported the judge approved release to prosecutors only, not the public.

Woods faced arrest for driving under the influence following field sobriety tests after a two-vehicle crash flipped his Range Rover onto its driver's side.

The court filing sought copies of all prescription medications on file for Woods from Jan. 1 through March 27, the date of the crash and arrest.

Attorney Douglas Duncan argued in a motion that the subpoena violated Woods' constitutional right to privacy. He requested a hearing, held Tuesday, to decide if prosecutors could obtain the records.

Woods told law enforcement he took a few prescription medications amid seven back surgeries and more than 20 operations on his leg. In 2021, a wreck caused serious leg injuries that sidelined him from golf for the year.

He said his ankle was fused, and he walks with a limp from the injuries. Authorities had him perform a field sobriety test seated due to his condition. He registered triple zeros on the breath test, but lethargic movements prompted further exercises.

Woods completed four exercises before a deputy handcuffed him. The deputy believed he was impaired by an unknown substance.

Deputies found two white pills on Woods, identified later as hydrocodone, a pain-treatment opioid.

Woods pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge. Days after the crash, he announced plans to seek treatment. At the scene, he said he hoped to play in the Masters, but treatment delayed his return.

On April 1, Woods received permission to travel abroad for comprehensive inpatient treatment.

He faces charges of driving under the influence, property damage, refusal to submit to testing and careless driving. Woods pleaded not guilty, waived arraignment and requested a jury trial.
