ICE, Sheriff's Office and Highway Patrol Arrest Honduran MS-13 Member in Video Takedown
State and federal immigration officers arrested Luis Merary Peralta-Sevilla, a Honduran national identified as a criminal illegal alien and MS-13 gang member, in a takedown captured on video.
The arrest took place on April 14 in an operation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Highway Patrol.
Video footage shared exclusively with Fox News by ICE shows officers apprehending the suspect. "Driver, hands out the window, now!" a deputy yells, with a translator repeating the commands in Spanish.
Once Peralta-Sevilla was in handcuffs, officers circled the truck he was driving. Authorities found some minor narcotics inside, ICE said. Florida police also seized the vehicle for driving without a valid license.
Peralta-Sevilla first entered the United States illegally in July 2013. U.S. Border Patrol agents encountered him in Texas's Rio Grande Valley, where he admitted he was a Honduran citizen in the country illegally. A Justice Department immigration judge granted him bond, and he stayed in the United States pending removal proceedings.
He is now in Palm Beach County Jail awaiting transfer to ICE custody for removal.
"What happened today is just another perfect display of our partnership with our local law enforcement, the Florida Highway Patrol, and other federal partners," an ICE deputy said in the video.
