FOX 8 Airs New Video, Audio Evidence in Northeast Ohio Bigfoot Flap

Northeast Ohio has seen eight high-credibility Bigfoot reports since early March, with investigators from the Ohio Squatch Project and Bigfoot Society responding quickly to the sightings that began on March 6.

Activity in the area died down after the Ohio Bigfoot Flap. The Bigfoot Society released a final report in early April, suggesting the unexplained sightings would join historical records.

That changed Sunday when FOX 8 aired exclusive new evidence linked to the recent Northeast Ohio reports. The station interviewed witnesses and Mike Miller, co-founder of the Ohio Night Stalkers Bigfoot Research Group.

Reporters brought back video of alleged Bigfoot tracks and audio of unexplained howls. Miller recounted that this flap echoes one from 1978, which followed a brutal winter 48 years ago.

He theorized Bigfoot may have been driven from their usual habitats by flooding and forced to seek new areas, increasing sightings. Miller also suggested, "it could be rearing young in that area or it’s just, you know, you’re in their area and they want you to go."

His evidence includes howls that do not match any known North American animal. "Some of those screams pegged higher than a baboon on the spectrograph, and that is evidence," he said.
