Ex-teacher turns self in after online chat with fake 14-year-old girl

A 66-year-old former teacher named Dominique B turned himself in to police in eastern France on Tuesday. The surrender came a day after a video of his online conversation with a supposed girl aired on several platforms.

In the footage, Dominique B appears on one side of the screen, relaxing in a chair. On the other side sits the influencer known as FINNYZYY, with a girl's face and voice digitally added over his own.

The alteration was rough. FINNYZYY had to cover the bottom of his chin to conceal his beard. Still, it convinced the retired teacher.

The 40-minute exchange drew more than 40,000 live viewers and has racked up around a million views since. During the chat, Dominique B proposed meeting the girl at Paris's Parc des Princes stadium.

He asked if she wanted to kiss him, whether she had sent nude photos to friends, and if she would like to see him naked.

When reminded that she was only 14, he brushed it off. Many girls younger than that have already made love, he said.

The Vesoul state prosecutor charged him with making sexual advances to a person under 15 and soliciting a minor's image for pornographic purposes.

Dominique B once worked as an official for the National Union of School Sports. His case has sparked debate over the ethics of such entrapment stings.

FINNYZYY said his goal is to raise awareness about child sex abuse. He told BFMTV, "We need to ask: is he really aiming to work with police, or does he just want to create a buzz? Because if he really wanted to be a good citizen, he could simply have taken the video to the police without putting it on the Internet."
